Frequently Asked Questions
Ordering & Stock
Are your rugs actually in stock?
Yes – and lots of them. We carry thousands of rugs in our own UK stock, with huge selections at both Bodelwyddan and Shrewsbury.
How can I order?
Order securely through our website or call 01745 584404 if you would prefer to speak to someone.
Can I see the rug before buying?
Absolutely. Bodelwyddan and Shrewsbury each have thousands of rugs in stock. Large FrithRugs selections are also available within Leekes at Melksham, Llantrisant and Cross Hands.
Delivery & Returns
Is delivery free?
Yes. FREE Next Day Delivery is available on eligible online orders for rugs up to 200cm wide. For rugs wider than 200cm, we’ll contact you to arrange the most suitable FREE delivery service, subject to location.
How quickly will my rug arrive?
For eligible rugs up to 200cm wide, order before 2pm for FREE delivery the following day, Monday to Saturday. Orders placed after 2pm Friday or over the weekend are dispatched Monday for Tuesday delivery. Larger rugs are arranged separately.
What about the Highlands, Islands or remote areas?
Delivery options can vary by location. We’ll contact you if your postcode requires a different service. Where we can deliver free of charge, we will; if an additional charge is unavoidable, we’ll discuss it with you before proceeding.
What if my rug isn’t right?
Online purchases are covered by our Online Returns Policy and applicable UK statutory rights. You can return an online purchase free in person to Bodelwyddan or Shrewsbury.
Sizes & Bespoke Rugs
Can you make a special size?
Quite possibly. Bespoke sizes and colours are one of our specialities. Tell us the rug and size you need and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
Are handmade rugs exactly the stated size?
Handmade rugs can naturally vary slightly. If exact dimensions are important, contact us and we’ll happily measure the individual rug.
Underlay
Which underlay do I need?
SMOOTH FLOOR = SUPER GRIP | CARPET OR UNEVEN FLOOR = FOXI “SUPER PLUS”
Rug Care
My wool rug is shedding. Is that normal?
Yes. Some shedding is normal with a new wool rug and should gradually reduce.
A yarn is sticking up. Should I pull it?
No. Trim it carefully level with the surrounding pile.
Part of my rug looks lighter or darker.
This is often pile reversal or shading and is not a fault. Bring it to Bodelwyddan or Shrewsbury and most rugs can be steamed free of charge to help correct the pile direction.
Can you clean or repair my rug?
Yes. FrithRugs can arrange professional rug cleaning and repairs. Send us a photograph for initial advice or bring your rug into one of our main showrooms.
Price Promise
What if I find the same rug cheaper?
If you find the same rug, same size, genuinely available from another UK retailer for less, we’ll match the price and give you our Super Grip Anti-Slip Underlay FREE. Genuine sales, promotions and limited-time discount codes are included.
